A Millimeter-Wave Filtering Power Divider Based on AFSIW with High Isolation

This paper presents a novel air filled substrate integrated waveguide (AFSIW) filtering power divider (FPD) based on multilayer substrate technology. Four cascaded rectangular resonators are constructed to realize the fourth-order band-pass filtering response. The slotted line is set on the upper surface metal layer of the intermediate substrate to construct the Y-junction power division structure to realize the 3 dB two-way power division. The structure can directly obtain high isolation and avoid the high frequency parasitic effect caused by the installation of resistors. The FPD operates in the millimeter-wave band and has the characteristics of low loss and high isolation. The simulation results of the design example validate that the insertion loss is better than 3.7 dB, the input/output return loss is better than 20 dB and the isolation is better than 19.3 dB within 31.1-31.78 GHz.
