Simulation research on laser rapid cutting of foreign objects in high voltage transmission lines

Introduce the effect of laser rapid cutting on the changes of foreign matter structure of transmission wire. This paper discusses the thermal action mechanism of laser rapid cutting polyethylene material, using laser rapid cutting theory analysis and finite element software COMSOL to perform numerical calculations, and cutting speed, spot radius to polyethylene material vertical by single variable. Temperature changes in the cutting direction and the decline in cutting depth. Simulation results show that the change in laser rapid cutting parameters has a certain impact on the temperature and cutting depth produced by the polyethylene material. As the spot radius increases, the temperature and cutting depth of cutting polyethylene material gradually decrease. As the cutting speed increases, the temperature and cutting depth of cutting polyethylene material gradually decreases. The laser power is 150W, and most of the coloured foreign objects can be removed from the high voltage transmission line. When the laser cutting polyethylene material is between 1.2 mm / s to 1.4 mm / s, the laser cutting polymer is high. When the radius is 3 mm, the laser cutting depth is the deepest. The results of numerical analysis will provide a reasonable basis for the selection of the parameters of laser rapid cutting polyethylene material.
