Non-Invasive Apparatus for Body Thermal Reading and Hemoglobin Count Aggregated with a Mobile App

The non-invasive apparatus for acquiring the hemoglobin count and body thermal reading is developed as it is a pain-free prototype that mainly measures the hemoglobin count and body temperature of an individual. The prototype is integrated with a mobile application through wireless transmission so that the compilation of medical records is easily available and accessible to the doctor and medical experts. Proper authorization is assigned so that the confidentiality of data between the patient and the doctor is respected. The researchers came up with this concept because it is an innovative step in the medical field, adapting a paperless record keeping and monitoring of a patient's state that is useful for diagnosis. In this study, the researchers focused on thalassemia patients as they are somehow neglected in the Philippines. Tracking the hemoglobin count and body temperature is essential in the lives of thalassemia patients. Data accumulated can help the doctors perceive if he/ she is subjected for blood extraction, or even for diagnosis purposes. Thus, the study could provide a public awareness for the substantial importance of getting a regular health consultation, and lead to efficient management in clinics and hospitals across the Philippines.
