Comparative Study of Stress Using the Classical Method and EEG Wave Processing

Determining the value of the stress level is important for its early diagnosis and treatment. The field is topical, because approximately 12% of the world's population is affected by stress in different phases, therefore, early diagnosis is important to establish the therapy protocol and guide it to increase efficiency. Biosignal processing methods of the human body are often used to determine the value of the level of stress, anxiety, depression or other psychological characteristics. Recently, inexpensive equipment and advanced mathematical methods have determined the exponential evolution of studies in the field. Signals were collected from 24 respondents, with Emotiv EPOC X equipment with 14 sensors. The experiment was carried out in the laboratory, under nominal conditions, without the use of stimuli.
