Patient Satisfaction with Online Pharmacy Services

This study described the satisfaction levels of 323 patients regarding the online pharmacy services. The level of patient satisfaction was high regarding the online pharmacy services in general (67.8% of respondents), the price of medicines (70.9% of respondents), the transport charges (55.1% of respondents), home delivery of medicines (62.5% among respondents), as well as the professional skills of pharmacists (77.7%, among respondents). A low level of patient satisfaction was recorded regarding the advice received by phone (47.1% of respondents) or e-mail (48.3% of respondents) from pharmacists with information about their drugs. We found statistically significant differences between some patient responses caused by socio-demographic variables, patient characteristics and frequency of accessing this service (p<0.05). The study revealed a positive impact on Romanian patients regarding the use of online pharmacy services, but the quality of patient counselling should be improved by applying effective and specific policies.
