Preface: Welcome to 9th International Conference on Condition Monitoring and Diagnosis (CMD2022)!

CMD provides a platform for academia, industry, technology providers, consultants, and experts in power engineering to discuss and share ideas, results, experiences and to talk over future trends and technologies in the field of electric power apparatus monitoring, fault diagnosis, and asset management. CMD has been held every 2 years in Asian and Oceanian countries, 1st (2006): Changwon (Korea), 2nd (2008): Beijing (China), 3rd (2010): Tokyo (Japan), 4th (2012): Bali (Indonesia), 5th (2014): Jeju (Korea), 6th (2016): Xi'an (China), 7th (2018): Perth (Australia), 8th (2020): Bangkok (Thailand). The 9th CMD is held on November 13-18, 2022, at the Kitakyushu International Conference Center, Kitakyushu, Japan, in hybrid style to prevent the Covid-19 infection.
