Nonlinear Injection Control of Isolated DC-DC Converter for Cable-based Seabed Observatory Platform

The paper presents the control of current-fed isolated step-down direct current to direct current (DC-DC) converter that will be used as power supply unit in cable-based seabed observatory platform, which is placed several kilometers from shore. Steady-state and dynamic model of converter are developed, which here is different to step-down buck converter. The injection proposed can linearize the system even that the load is unknown. The stability is proven by Lyapunov function and the controllability is analyzed. The simulation using Simscape -Simulink shows the stability and convergence of output voltage around 24V DC desired with 300mA current source, and output current up to 5A even for several converters in shunt.
