A Task-related Adaptation in Intelligent Human-Machine Interfaces

We present a task-related adaptation method based on the interaction trinity paradigm, which consists of task-related, human state-of-mind-related, and context-related adaptation, set in the concept of intelligent Human-Machine Interface framework (iHMIfr). The method is implemented in a software application, developed with an inbuilt application manager, containing the task logic and real-time user performance monitoring. The user-specific task adaptation is based on monitoring the user’s performance variability and the application of predefined adaptive strategies.
