Energy Harvesting using ZnO Nanorods for Wearable Devices

The amount of energy harvested for wearable devices is improved by studying the pressure and the electric potential generated on a ZnO piezoelectric material. In this model, the energy generated by applying load on the entire surface, block, line and letter “A” is studied. It is observed that with the same amount of force applied, the surface of action is less in the case of the block. As a result, the obtained electric energy varies greatly. From this, it is found that the surface area of action plays a vital role in producing energy. Similarly, from the energy generated by load using a line and an alphabet, the line load produces more energy than the alphabet. So, with this the energy produced that differs will ensure the amount of energy harvested for wearable devices.
