A Robust Radiocommunication System for FM Transmission Based on Software Defined Radio Technology

In this paper a robust radiocommunication system for FM transmission based on software defined radio technology is presented. The hardware component of the radio-transmitter (TX) and the radio-receiver (RX) are implemented by using Universal Software Radio Peripheral (USRP) devices. The proposed radiocommunication system is used for FM broadcasting and is able to transmit data with differentially-encoded BPSK (DEBPSK) modulation in FM signal by using subsidiary communication channel on a 76 kHz subcarrier. The software component of the TX and RX devices are implemented in Matlab/Simulink and are customized for different data rates between 1187.5 b/s to 9500 b/s.
