A Novel Mechanism for Design and Implementation of Confidentiality in Data for the Internet of Things with DES Technique

Confidentiality refers to the protection of data from unauthorised access. In other words, only those who have been granted permission to do so will have access to sensitive information. They are vulnerable to a variety of security threats, particularly when transferring data through IoT devices. As a result, we’re utilizing a DES Encryption Algorithm to encrypt data at the IoT transmitter and a DES Decryption Algorithm to decrypt it at the IoT receiver. We attain a level of data confidentiality by doing so. We’re utilising two BeagleBone Black boards as IoT transmitters and receivers, and we’re using IEEE 802.5 wired technology to communicate with each other. For developing DES Encryption and Decryption communication between these two BeagleBone Black boards serving as IoT devices, we’re employing the Client-Server technique. In both BeagleBone Black boards, we use the Debian operating system. The first BeagleBone Black board will act as an IoT transmitter, transmitting this encrypted message, while the second BeagleBone Black board will act as an IoT receiver, receiving the decrypted message and converting it to plain text.
