A Block-Chain Based Approach for Food Supply Chain Management

Food and agriculture have a significant influence in people's lives. There has been quite a growth in recent years in increase in demand for organic food. Consumers are becoming more concerned about the origin and composition of their food. Because the ultimate customer has no knowledge where the goods came from, producers may readily sell mislabeled products. The agriculture supply chain is extremely complicated, which hinders the creation of effective food transparency and traceability. This paper gives an outline of how blockchain and IoT technology might be used to enable identifiable in the agri-food business. Initially, the article discusses the necessity for end customers to understand where their food comes from, as well as the need for farmers to receive their fair share of profits. It then does a literature study to see how Blockchain and IoT may benefit the agri-food industry. It then goes on to provide techniques for improving traceability in the agrifood supply chain.
