Stability Analysis Based on the United Model Consists of the PMSM Control System and the Vehicle Dynamics Model

This research presented a united model, which consists of a vehicle dynamics model and a permanent magnet synchronous machine field-oriented control system. For this model, stability has two meanings, handling stability for the vehicle, and transient response convergence for the PMSM drive system. To ensure handling stability, in this paper, the critical speed of vehicle is analyzed. To ensure transient response stable, D-decomposition is used to obtain the margin of the stability region of the control parameters. This method can provide theoretical guidance on the design of the control parameters of PMSM for electric vehicles. Simulation through MATLAB/Simulink verified the validity of the parameter domain.
