Analysis and Evaluation of Elastic Restoring Force of Traction Power Supply System under Short Circuit Conditions

The traction power supply system of high-speed railroad is prone to various failures after a shock, resulting in power supply interruptions, which can cause great economic losses if not repaired in time. In order to evaluate the recovery capability of the traction power supply system after a fault occurs in a shock event, based on the structure and operation characteristics of the traction power supply system, the concept of elastic recovery is proposed, the key characteristics of the elastic recovery force of the power supply arm after a fault in the traction network are analyzed. Three elastic recovery assessment metrics: traction load recovery rate, power restoration rate, and fault recovery time expectation value are introduced. Based on Markov Monte Carlo simulation method, the system elastic recovery model is constructed with the objective of optimal elastic recovery force index, solving the optimal values under different recovery operation strategies using particle swarm algorithm. Verified by MATLAB simulation, the experimental results show that the elastic recovery index can reasonably assess the elastic recovery capacity of the system after a failure.
