Multi-objective Optimization Design of DC-Biased Dual PM Hybrid-Excited Machine

In this paper, a kind of DC-Biased Dual PM Hybrid-Excited Machine (DC-DPM-HEM) structure is first presented. Then, according to the magnetic field adjustment theory, the general expression of the air-gap flux density of DC-DPM-HEM is derived, and its working principle is described in detail. And then, current ratio and permanent magnet (PM) ratio are defined and determined as the design variables. Moreover, combining the Taguchi experiment, Differential evolution (DE) algorithm and Pareto evaluation, the sequential subspace multi-objective optimization is carried out for the proposed DC-DPM-HEM. At last, by comparing the finite element analysis FEA) results of the DC-DPM-HEM before and after optimization, the conclusion is given.
