Abstract:

This research presents an analysis of the process of submitting courses from universities into the acknowledgment system of higher education institutions with Fuzzy miner algorithm via Disco and by using the actual event log data to analyze and show a model to see the overall process. The frequency and time efficiency of the course review process are taken into account. The results showed that the maximum duration of course review was 2 years, 268 days, and the average was 49.8 weeks, and the minimum was 12 days. According to the rules and regulations of the institution, a course should be considered complete in all processes within 15 days. Using the approach proposed in this study, we are able to discover and identify any violation of the rules as well as indetification of the shortcomings that have occurred. The main intention is apply process mining in such a way leading to the improvement of the work process in compliance with the rules and guidelines of the Ministry of Higher Education. Extending the course review period and possibly considering adding personnel to assist in reviewing the course and categorizing the course according to proficiency category, these are some solutions to speed up the efficiency of the process in the future.
