Study on Diagnosis Method of Conversion Efficiency of Three-way Catalytic Converter for Vehicle

The three-way catalytic converter has been widely used as an after-treatment device for gasoline engines and natural gas engines. Its conversion efficiency directly affects the engine emission results. Therefore, the conversion efficiency of the three-way catalytic converter is also required as a mandatory check item the OBD certification for such engines. Based on the relationship between oxygen storage capacity and conversion efficiency of three-way catalytic converter, this paper discusses and compares different methods and principles of three-way catalytic converter efficiency, and analyzes and studies the effects of different diagnostic methods on engine control, economy and emission performance, which has a certain reference value.
