Common-View Time Transfer With BeiDou New Navigation Signals

Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) has been widely used to achieve time and frequency transfer due to its cost-effectiveness and operational flexibility. The third phase of BeiDou Navigation Satellite System (BDS-3) has been completed. And new navigation signals are emitted by BDS-3 satellites. In this paper, BDS-3 B 1 c and B2a new navigation signals are applied in time and frequency transfer. Common-View time transfer experiments are designed and conducted to assess time and frequency transfer performance of the BDS-3 new navigation signals. Besides, time transfer accuracy of BDS-3 new signals is compared with BDS old signals and GPS signals. Time transfer results show that BDS-3 new navigation signals show better performance than old signals. For the test time transfer link, time accuracy value of new signals has improved about 47.6% compared with old signals. And the frequency stability values are improved for all the average time.
