Mode-reconfigurable OAM Transmitarray Based on A Novel Method

This paper presents mechanically mode-reconfigurable OAM (Orbit Angular Momentum) transmitarray based on a novel method. When different mechanic angles are rotated, transmitarray obtain different phase distributions. It's the first time to achieve mode-reconfigurable OAM beams based on the novel method without diodes during microwave region. To achieve the reconfigurable OAM beams, two kinds of transmissive elements are designed to form three transmitarrays. By rotating the third plate with 0°, 90°, 270° mechanically, the whole model can generate different mode 0, 1, -1 OAM beams. And simulation results indicate that the gain of 1, 0, -1 mode is 18.3dBi, 21.5dBi and 18.2dBi, respectively.
