Measurement of the Emissivity and Temperature Distributions of Graphite-Like Structures Laser Heated in a Diamond Anvil Cell

The results of measurements of the distributions of the emissivity and temperature in laser heating system in diamond anvil cell (LH-DAC) of a graphitic specimen with a high concentration of boron (BC
3
) are presented. To measure the emissivity and temperature distributions of BC
3
under high pressure during laser heating (LH) we used a hyperspectral imaging technique consisting of a tandem acoustic-optical tunable filter (TAOTF) and a high-resolution video camera. The range of the measurements of thermal radiation was from 620 to 800 nm. The measurement error of the emissivity of the point with the maximum temperature on the heating spot (1842 K) was 15%.
