Asynchronous Address System Using Code Division Based on Maximum Length Sequences

This work contains a description of a multicast data transmission system that implements multiple access mechanisms through code division of channels. An idea is put forward to use maximum length sequences as address combinations, which, due to their unique properties, should provide effective signal multiplexing in the total frequency spectrum, as well as solve synchronization issues when the system operates in asynchronous data transmission mode. The methods used for processing information and phasing sequences are based on the mathematical apparatus of linear algebra, which not only provides a high level of noise immunity of the data transmission system under conditions of an increased level of interference, but also helps to reduce delays in signal processing at the receiving side. As shown in the paper, based on maximum length sequences, it is possible to construct special code structures that are comparable with orthogonal sequences and are fully suitable for code division.
