Transformation of KDO/KME System in Power Station

The test data acquisition and processing system (KDO) and nuclear island test instrument system (KME) of No. 1/2 unit from Qin No. 2 Plant have been installed, commissioned and operated for more than 15 years. With the increase of operating years, the boards, power supplies and other equipment in the cabinet have been seriously aged, affecting the performance of the relevant test equipment and the monitoring and analysis of specific parameters. Starting from the perspective of technological transformation, this paper deeply analyzes the entire transformation process, and sorts out the difficulties one by one from equipment selection to technical transformation implementation. Then, through the use of a series of human error prevention tools, the smooth progress of each node in the transformation is ensured, so that the transformation can be completed within a short construction period of the overhaul. Then, the paper summarizes the transformation experiences to provide transformation experience for other power plant system transformation (especially selection of new technology).
