Enhanced Sensitivity Photonic Molecule Sensor based on Embedded Tapered Microring Resonators

We demonstrated a two-fold increase in the sensitivity of silicon nitride optical sensors based on photonic molecules (PM) with tapered microring resonators. The approach allows reducing the detection window, increasing the robustness of PM sensors. © 2022 The Author(s)
