Graphene-based metamaterial for in-situ spectral absorption tailoring in the mid-infrared

We propose a periodic graphene-based metamaterial consisting of two coupled resonators per unit cell. By modulating the Fermi energy of graphene, we are able to tune the inter-resonator coupling and in-turn reconFigure the absorption spectrum from a single-peak to a split-peak shape.
