Mathematical Modeling of the Process of Changing the Groundwater Level by the Method of Discrete Features in the Presence of Semi-Permeable Inclusions and a Drainage System

A mathematical model of the two-dimensional process of subsidence of a groundwater mound, built on the basis of the “piston” displacement model, is developed for the case of the presence of drainage systems and semi-impermeable inclusions of arbitrary shape with different permeability coefficients in the process area. Examples of studying the process of subsidence of groundwater in homogeneous layers in the presence of two drains and one inclusion are given. The numerical implementation of the problem is carried out using the method of discrete singularities. Software based on the Python programming language and the NumPy, SciPy and SymPy packages has been developed.
