Causal Analysis of Road Safety Accidents in Britain Based on a Univariate Decision Tree Method

The potential relationship between traffic accident severity level and accident factors was studied, and the traffic accident records of the UK from 2005 to 2015 were taken as the research object. To solve the problem of the objectivity of accident data, this paper studies the mining method of objective factors of the accident. In the existing road traffic accident data, the cause of the accident is often attributed to human factors, and the lack of effective loading of the objective factors of the accident leads to the loss of data objectivity and affects the potential value of the data. It is used the decision tree algorithm of data mining and analysis of potential objective factors, such as road, traffic, and the environmental impact of road traffic accidents. It measures the effect size, gets the accident data of each accident in the objective factors, and the supplement to the existing accident data, further strengthening the objectivity of road traffic accident data. Finally, it was found that the prediction accuracy of the algorithm adopted in this paper was as high as 84.47%.
