Automatic Fish Feeding and Water Quality Management System using Internet of Things

Aqua culture also known as aqua farming is the process of raising variety of fishes commercially under controlled condition for the human consumption. As the demand for the coastal food is increasing aqua culture has been one of the flourishing sectors in many countries Water quality is one of the critical factors considered when culturing any aquatic species that can significantly affect the fish’s health and in turn the production. Optimal water quality varies from species to species and must be monitored regularly to ensure healthy growth of the fishes. Water quality is monitored by considering the parameters like pH, temperature and the level of water. The proposed system aims at designing and implementing water quality monitoring and automatic fish feeding system for fish farms using IoT (Internet of Things). The fish farmers will be worried when they are elsewhere from fish farms since they will not be able to feed the fishes on correct time. With the help of Automatic fish feeder, farmer can schedule the time for fish feeding. Arduino UNO board acts as the central core controller for the entire system to which all the sensors are connected.
