Design and Implement of Four Level Flying Capacitor Totem Pole Power Factor Correction

Due to the requirement of high power density, this paper discusses the feasibility of flying capacitor multi-level (FCML) applied in the totem pole bridgeless power factor correction (PFC) circuit. Compared with the conventional twolevel totem pole PFC, the four-level FCML totem pole bridgeless PFC has the advantages of lower switching voltage stress and higher inductor equivalent frequency. In addition, due to lower switching voltage stress, the proposed topology can use gallium nitride (GaN) switches to replace Si-MOSFET, further improving power density and circuit efficiency. This paper analyzes the operating principle of the four-level FCML totem pole circuit. In the simulation and experimental results, a PFC with output power of 2.6 kW, input voltage of 90 to 264 V
