A Method for Designing Orbits of Tomographic SAR Satellites

Tomographic SAR technology is a two-dimensional synthetic aperture acquisition technology proposed in the 1990s. By modifying the baseline length, a synthetic aperture is formed in the azimuth direction to obtain azimuth resolution, so that SAR has a true three-dimensional imaging capability. In order to solve the special requirements of the baseline in spaceborne SAR for tomography, this paper considers the composite constraints such as satellite revisit time and coverage in practical engineering applications, and studies the orbital design method of tomographic SAR satellites, and through a simulation to demonstrate the availability of the method.
