The Design and Implementation of Plug and Play MPPT Power Control and Distributor for Aerospace

The MPPT controller can improve the utilization rate of satellite solar battery,and satisfy the requirements of SAR in high-power,long-lived and long-work. The plug-and-play MPPT power supply control and distribution unit for aerospace is designed in this paper, which is composed of solar cell array power regulation circuit, initiating explosivedevice module, load and platform power distribution module, secondary converter module, heater module and lower computer.For the interconnection of signals and power, the LVDS simplex x internal bus with main back way is utilized to realize the plug-and-play of seven standard satellite primary power modules, which is beneficial to the rapid combination and expansion of PCDU according to actual demand.The proposed APR circuit module utilizes the average current control strategy, has the function of maximum power point tracking, which realizes constant voltage and constant current charging of the storage battery.The 28V converter module based on multiple modules in parallel has the better dynamic performance.The LCL smart power distribution circuits are employed to realize self-protection in the event of a fault on the consumer side.A general communication frame format for PCDU internal bus is introduced. Through simple software configuration of each standard module, the generalized design of the lower computer software is realizedeasily.
