Design and fabrication of a selective sensor for the measurement of CO gas

The main criteria for fabricating a practical sensor is the cross-sensitivity and reliability of the device. The exploration of the nanomaterial and proper activation technique is imperative to deal with the issue. The nanomaterial has been selected to be Pd-doped ZnO. Here, we use the technique of dual activation in optimizing the sensor for selectively detecting a particular gas. The dynamic characteristics were analyzed by using a method of dual activation principle by taking the dissociation energy of the target gases under consideration. As a direct consequence, a reliable, robust, and cost-effective sensor is fabricated.
