Achieving Physical Layer Source Location Privacy Transmission by DF Relay

Location privacy is as critical as information security for some special-purpose communication systems. In this paper, we intend to maximize the throughput rate while achieving the required source location privacy in the device-to-device (D2D) scenario with the help of a movable decode-and-forward (DF) relay. Two typical hostile localization schemes, the time-of-arrival (TOA) localization and the angle-of-arrival (AOA) estimation, are discussed as the adversary in this paper. The optimal transmission strategies for these two attacking schemes are given as well. Finally, some numerical results are provided to depict the effectiveness of our proposed relay-assisted location privacy transmission schemes.
