High Voltage High Frequency Single Wire Energy Transfer

This paper presents a high voltage high frequency single wire energy transfer system for applications such as mining excavations. The Single Wire Energy Transfer system and its main electrical parameters are shown and described. The scope of the paper is limited to a study of the high frequency DC/AC/DC circuit of the SWET system. The feasibility of the proposed system was tested using a simulation model. Following the confirmation of feasibility by the means of simulation, a laboratory setup was prepared to test the system prototype. A good match was found between simulation and measurement results.
