Modeling a Time Domain Reflectometer using Matlab/Simulink for detection of faults in electrical cables

The paper presents a modeling method based on time domain reflectometry for detection faults in electrical cables using Matlab/Simulink. The paper has four sections. The importance of electrical cables in electrical distribution system is highlighted in the introduction section. The second section contains the basic principles of the time domain reflectometry which are used to create the presented model from the fourth section. The last part emphasizes the usefulness of the proposed method and the possibilities for its further development.
