Manufacturing of IE4 induction motors

In the context of pessimistic climate change scenarios, the reduction of the electricity consumption is one of the key measures to be implemented. As electrical motors are one of the major energy consumers, the transition to higher efficiency classes is mandatory. Nowadays, the induction motor manufacturers (and not only) need to comply with more rigorous standards, such as IE4. This paper presents the efforts undertaken by S.C. Electroprecizia Electrical Motors SRL Săcele to bring the efficiency of the induction motors in the imposed interval. Information about the prototyping stages, the applied technical solutions and the obtained results in case of the 1.5kW 2 pole pairs motor is provided.
