Research on Insulation Properties of New Environment-friendly Gas C5F10O/CO2

In order to explore the insulating properties of the new environmental friendly gas C
5
F
10
O and its mixtures, the manifestation in the breakdown performance of C
5
F
10
O/CO
2
mixtures under different pressures and different types of electric fields were studied. The non-uniformity of the electric field is adjusted by rod-plate electrodes of different sizes, additionally, the total pressure of the mixed gas is changed by aerating CO
2
gas while fixing the C
5
F
10
O partial pressure. It was found that with the decrease of the rod electrode diameter, the non-uniformity of the electric field increased, and the breakdown voltage of the mixed gas decreased significantly. While with the increase of the total gas pressure, although the volume fraction of C
5
F
10
O decreased, the breakdown voltage still showed an upward trend. To a certain extent, the gas pressure of C
5
F
10
O/CO
2
mixed gas can be increased, and the insulation performance similar to that of SF6 can be exhibited.
