3-D computation of magnetic anomaly due to a rotating plate in the Earth's magnetic field

This paper presents theory and validation of a numerical method based on finite elements to find magnetic anomaly due to a conductive plate in the movement in the Earth's magnetic field. We shall use a method based on the formulation of a reduced magnetic scalar potential versus the Earth's magnetic field (H/sub j//spl phi/) and an electric vector potential formulation (T/spl phi/ - /spl phi/).
