Assessment Indices of Marine Power Plants Energy Efficiency and Fouled Ship Hull Condition

The main functions of a ship intelligent energy efficiency management system are firstly introduced. Based on the external working conditions and fuel calorific value of marine diesel engine, the fuel consumption rate measured onboard ship is corrected, and the energy efficiency assessment indices for marine diesel engine and generator diesel engine are put forward, which are used to evaluate the economy of marine diesel engines. On the basis of fuel calorific value and supplied gas conditions of marine fuel-fired boiler and exhaust gas boiler, the thermal efficiency calculation method for marine steam system and the energy efficiency evaluation index for marine boilers are put forward. Based on the characteristics of ship’s resistances, the evaluation index for fouled ship hull condition is put forward with correcting factors including winds and waves at sea, which is used to quantitatively evaluate the ship’s fouled hull condition. These indices could provide better reference for the development of ship intelligent energy efficiency management system in the future.
