A non-enzymatic chronoamperometric glucose sensor based on Screen-Printed Carbon Electrode (SPCE) modified with maghemite magnetic nanoparticles via physical vapour deposition (PVD)

Early diagnosis of many severe diseases such as diabetes, nerve degeneration, and cardiovascular diseases requires the detection of glucose levels in the human body. A non-enzymatic sensor was developed via screen-printing to obtain a screen-printed carbon electrode that was modified with magnetic maghemite nanoparticles via physical vapor deposition, to enhance the affinity of the sensor towards glucose detection, using chronoamperometry as an electrochemical detection method.
