Implementation of a remote controlled photovoltaic nano-grid

This paper proposes a solution in the context of Home Energy Management Systems (HEMS) and a practical implementation of a remotely controlled nano-grid structure. The novelty of the subject consists in the improvements on the ease of access and control of the implied equipment, with issues of reconfiguration and integration of open-source software. The proposed configuration allows real-time control and monitoring of the devices and their parameters and the global grid electrical energy parameters for the produced and consumed power. This system also gives the possibility of power consumption monitoring, forecasting and prediction at specific preset period. The system can also monitor and record the average operating time, the average load level of the grid, and other details about the past or future behavior of the equipment plus different quality or statistic energy quality indicators such as energy transfer efficiency.
