Quasi-Single Stage Three-Phase AC-DC Power Supply With Power Decoupling For Low Frequency Pulse Load

The large-scale application of the high peak-to-average ratio low-frequency pulse loads brings severe challenges to the airborne power system. The key issues are decreasing the output voltage drop during the pulse period to guarantee a good performance of the pulse system, reducing the input current ripple of the pulsed power supply to decrease the impact on other equipment and reducing the volume and weight of the pulsed power supply. By increasing the voltage fluctuation range of the decoupling capacitor, not only decouple input and output power, but also greatly reduce the volume and weight of capacitor. By connecting capacitors in series, a single-stage power path and a two-stage path are constructed, and maximize single-stage transmission ratio. The single-stage transmission ratio can reach up to 93.3%. With minimal power processing stages, suppress pulsed power, improving power system efficiency. The architecture, circuit implementation, and control method of the proposed pulsed decoupling power supply are analyzed in detail. The experimental results show that the proposed method is feasible and effective.
