Experimental stand for wind energy conversion in electricity

This article presents the study of the conversion of wind energy into electrical energy by means of an experimental stand designed to analyze the aerodynamics of a miniature horizontal axis wind turbine and the influence of some parameters on its performance such as: the influence of the angle of inclination of the wind turbine blades, as well as the influence of the number of blades on the power produced and the efficiency factor.The power generated by a wind turbine depends on the ability of the rotor to take as much energy as possible from the wind energy. This capacity depends directly on the angle of inclination of the rotor blades and the number of rotor blades. Following the practical experiments, analyzing the influence of the aerodynamic elements of the blades and the number of blades of the turbine, on the Power P and the efficiency factor Cp, we can conclude that the most efficient wind turbines with a horizontal axis are those with 3 blades, at the angle variable pitch between 3
