UAV Position & Cell Partition Optimization Considering User Distribution and Data Rate in UAV Network

In this paper, we investigate the effective use of UAV as flight base stations for users using wireless services. UAV's limited battery usage time leads to hover time limitation, and we propose Adaptive UAV-AP Positioning & Cell-Partition framework that can maximize average throughput within a fixed hover time. In the proposed model, UAV is deployed based on arbitrary spatial distribution and user's required data rate, and Cell-Partitioning is carried out. In this problem, the optimal cell-partition is derived by solving the optimization problem based on the Optimal Transport Theory. This framework can expect more adaptive cell-partitioning than cell-partition considering only the existing user distribution probability.
