Study of Energy and Power Consumption of Rough Set Theory unit on FPGA

In particular, Rough set theory is beneficial for identifying correlations in data and drawing important conclusions from the incomplete, inconsistent data sets or data sets having missing attribute values and their effect on the corresponding output. Hardware Implementation of RST is done by many researchers along with that Power consumption is also one of the important parameters. In this paper, we have implemented RST algorithms on the Kintex KC705 FPGA board. For estimating power consumption by hardware, we used Block RAMs for storing data. The analysis of power consumption by the hardware is done using a TI USB adaptor along with Fusion digital power designer GUI and Vivado 2014.2 software.
