Total Error Rate and Average Channel Throughput Analysis in α-μ Fading Channels

Cooperative spectrum sensing network may provide advantages that increase the potency of detection. This study employs a Cognitive Radio (CR) network and energy detection scheme to identify unknown signals in $\alpha-\mu$ fading environment. Each CR initially detects a primary user (PU) and keeps the detection data with it. Additionally, fusion centre receives the data from all CRs and determines the PU in the end by using fusion rules like the OR-Rule and the AND-Rule. This paper offers the novel expressions of detection probability and false alarm probability for $\alpha-\mu$ fading channel. Total error rate, complementary receiver operating characteristics, and average channel throughput performances were then elaborated using the simulation. All the analytical results are exactly intact with MATLAB numerical simulations
