The Allocation Strategy Optimization of Mobile Energy Storages for Power System Restoration

After power system blackout, a large number of energy storages have been integrated into power grid for system operation, which can increase the stability of the grid and improve the flexibility of power system. In existing research, the fixed energy storages have been employed to be the blackstart power source. However, the location and capacity of fixed energy storages limit the restoration efficiency of power system. Therefore, the optimal allocation strategy of mobile energy storages (MESs) is proposed in this paper to increase the efficiency of power system restoration. Firstly, the objective function of the proposed strategy is to maximize the total power generation by all generators during restoration process. optimization variables of the propose optimization model are the capacity and location of MESs and the constraints for system operation are considered. Then, the Artificial Bee Colony Algorithm is employed to solve the optimization model. Finally, the modified IEEE39 node system is employed to verify the effectiveness of the proposed method.
