Extended InC MPPT Control for Phase-Shifted Dual-Input LLC Converter

This paper presents an extended incremental conductance (InC) Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) method for the DC-DC stage of grid-tie micro-inverters. The converter interfaces two PV panels to the load through a single LLC tank. Each panel is connected to the tank through a half-bridge forming a full-bridge LLC resonant topology. For control, frequency-switching modulation and phase shift modulation are utilized to achieve individual MPPT for both panels. Furthermore, the PV behavior under various conditions is studied in this paper. Finally, the control strategy is validated by simulation using Simulink/ MATLAB.
