A Single Stage 950 V to 7V DC/DC Modified Flyback Converter Topology

The paper discusses the implementation of an ultra-high step-down flyback implementation. It uses differential connection in the secondary to realize a magnetic subtraction which results in very low output voltage. The technique doesn't suffer from high leakage inductance or finite commutation time of the semiconductor switch. The operation, characterization, and modelling of the flyback are presented in this document. A 950 V to 7 V flyback converter with 0.2 duty cycle validates the effectiveness of the proposed concept.
