The Analysis of Readiness and Acceptance of Learning Management System (LMS) Usage in Universities of East Java

Online learning requires adequate IT infrastructure support and the awareness of all parties (lecturers, students & parents). The current pandemic situation strongly encourages the implementation of online learning. Learning Management System (LMS), often referred to as e- learning, plays a vital role in education systems. Another critical thing to know is the readiness and acceptance of its users. TRAM (Technology Readiness and Acceptance Model) is a method that can be used to analyze the readiness and acceptance of technology. Despite current research on readiness and technology acceptance, little effort is exerted in an educational institution, particularly for lecturers at public and private universities. In this research, TRAM was used to analyze the readiness and acceptance of LMS, focusing on lecturer users in East Java, both from state and private universities. The research results showed that the level of user readiness in adopting LMS used by lecturers at state universities and private universities in East Java tended to be low. This research results that several hypotheses related to the use of LMS by Lecturers were not accepted.
