Erosion wear and area calculation of orifice of hydraulic spool valve

Aiming at the changing phenomenon of orifice area of the hydraulic spool valve caused by oil erosion, the erosion wear of orifice is studied, and a method of spool displacement changing with time is proposed. By calculating the wear amount at a certain opening, the variation rule of throttling edge length and erosion fillet is obtained, and then the variation relation of orifice area with time is obtained. It is found that the orifice area can be kept constant in the whole life cycle by controlling the displacement of the spool timely. The research methods and results can provide the basis for the performance optimization design and reliability prediction of hydraulic spool valve.
